DGM Secretary – Real Beds & Bed Zone

We require a tough-minded individual who is organised, punctual, and able to meet strict deadlines. The successful candidate must be able to function in a high-pressure environment and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

The successful candidate will oversee and support two Divisional General Managers (DGMs) within Bedding Division 1 & 2 (South Africa) and Bedding Division 3 (Botswana) for the Real Beds and Bed Zone bedding brands.

The role will:

  • Organise and coordinate the DGMs’ business itineraries.
  • Take minutes during meetings and discussion sessions.
  • Capture data, type, and compile documents such as reports, letters, and minutes.
  • Liaise daily with Head Office, Regional Controllers, and Regional Accounts Managers, and submit daily, weekly, and monthly returns.
  • Arrange flights and hotel accommodation when required and order office supplies.
  • Assist the Divisional Credit Manager, Divisional Human Resource Manager, and Senior Learning and Development Facilitator with administrative duties, information gathering, and general office administration.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification; a secretarial qualification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in secretarial or administrative roles.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (non-negotiable).
  • Good command of the English language, strong planning skills, and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Must be deadline driven and able to work under pressure.
  • Must reside in Johannesburg, preferably around the Midrand area.
